Samsung Exynos 2400 Tops in Ray Tracing Performance, Outshining Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

January 26, 2024 – In a recent assessment conducted by Golden Reviewer, the Samsung Exynos 2400 emerged victorious in the 3DMark Solar Bay test, which evaluates the ray tracing capabilities of mobile phones.

According to the test results, the Samsung Exynos 2400 chipset scored an impressive 8642 points while consuming 9.3W of power. In comparison, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset scored 8601 points but had a higher power consumption of 11.7W.

This outcome underscores the superior performance and efficiency of the Samsung Exynos 2400 chipset in games that support ray tracing. It highlights the exceptional ray tracing performance delivered by the Xclipse 940 GPU, which is based on the AMD RDNA 3 architecture.

Golden Reviewer noted that in traditional tests, the speed of the Exynos 2400 is about 10-15% slower compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, its ray tracing performance is unparalleled, making it a standout choice for mobile gaming enthusiasts who prioritize graphical fidelity and power efficiency.
