April 22, 2025 – A recent post by insider Majin Bu on April 21st has shed light on Apple’s plans for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. According to the report, Apple is considering introducing a new “Sky Blue” color option for these two high-end models.
The source, drawing information from supply chain channels, revealed that several prototypes of the iPhone 17 Pro have already undergone rigorous testing, with a variety of color options being evaluated. Among them, Sky Blue has emerged as a strong contender for the final product lineup.

Describing the prototype’s Sky Blue shade, the post notes its exceptional brightness and sophistication, surpassing even the Sierra Blue color seen on the iPhone 13 Pro. Majin Bu predicts that, barring any last-minute changes by Apple, this vibrant hue will take center stage at the company’s September 2025 launch event.
Sky Blue, a fresh addition to Apple’s color palette, made its debut earlier this year on the M4 MacBook Air. If the iPhone 17 Pro were to adopt this color in the same year, it would represent a rare instance of Apple synchronizing colors across its product lines.

Typically, Apple offers a standard grayscale color option for its iPhone Pro series, with only one special color variant changing annually, such as last year’s Desert Titanium. Analysts suggest that if Sky Blue proves popular on the MacBook Air, Apple may leverage the iPhone 17 Pro to further amplify its market appeal.
