July 01, 2024 – According to a report by the “Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily” today, Tesla is set to showcase its latest advancements in artificial intelligence technology at the upcoming World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2024. The company will exhibit its Cybertruck, an innovative all-electric pickup truck, the Optimus humanoid robot, and the latest developments in its Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability.
The Optimus humanoid robot, which is already capable of performing tasks within Tesla’s factories, is expected to be deployed in even greater numbers in the coming years. Tesla predicts that by 2025, over 1000 Optimus robots will be operational within its manufacturing facilities.
Meanwhile, the Cybertruck, billed as the world’s first production vehicle to adopt a 48V low-voltage architecture, will also make an appearance at WAIC 2024. This cutting-edge pickup truck is also the first mass-produced model to utilize steer-by-wire technology, enabling complete electric steering.
The upcoming World Artificial Intelligence Conference, scheduled to take place in Shanghai from July 4th to 6th, is expected to be another landmark event in the field of AI. Last year’s conference saw over 50,000 square meters of exhibition space, with more than 400 companies participating, marking a new high in both exhibition area and the number of exhibitors. The event also attracted over 1400 key guests, including five Turing Award winners, one Nobel Laureate, more than 80 domestic and foreign academics, and over 50 leading figures from the corporate world. The 2023 conference witnessed the launch of over 30 new products, spanning areas such as large models and robotics.
