NVIDIA Predicts $20 Trillion Economic Boost from AI Adoption Across Industries

October 9, 2024 – On Tuesday, NVIDIA hosted a three-day “AI Summit” in the United States, where Bob Pette, Vice President and General Manager of NVIDIA’s Enterprise Platform Business, emphasized that the focus of the summit was more on the practical applications of AI rather than new product launches.

Pette highlighted that industries worldwide are gradually entering a phase of widespread AI adoption and predicted that AI would bring an economic impact of up to $20 trillion across various sectors. The summit showcased the next phase of AI developments, encompassing advanced AI agents, robotic factories, weather forecasting, cancer treatment, and even space exploration.

Currently, thousands of pre-trained “AI agents,” such as NVIDIA’s NIM, are enhancing productivity across multiple global industries. For instance, the National Cancer Institute in the United States utilizes NVIDIA’s medical AI services for medical image analysis and data extraction. Furthermore, NVIDIA’s AI is assisting pharmaceutical companies in screening new drug molecules, significantly reducing the drug development cycle.

Pette also revealed that NVIDIA’s CUDA library now includes over 4,000 accelerated applications, driving innovation in numerous industries. NVIDIA believes that the next wave of the AI revolution will be “physical AI,” where robots interact with the physical world through remote control.
