May 15 2025 – In a recent announcement on the X platform, OpenAI’s official account revealed that starting from yesterday, May 14, the GPT-4.1 model would be integrated into the ChatGPT AI chatbot.
Pro, Plus, and Team subscribers now have immediate access to this advanced model through the “More models” dropdown menu. Meanwhile, Enterprise and Edu users can anticipate gaining access within the coming weeks. Additionally, the GPT-4.1 mini has replaced the GPT-4o-mini and is now available to all ChatGPT users, broadening the reach of this enhanced technology.

Earlier reports have highlighted the exceptional capabilities of GPT-4.1. According to OpenAI, this model excels particularly in programming tasks, demonstrating a remarkable ability to adhere closely to instructions while avoiding overly verbose outputs.
During practical testing, GPT-4.1 has shown a greater emphasis on efficiency compared to its predecessor, GPT-4o. It refrains from engaging in unnecessary chitchat, making it a more reliable option for professional applications. Furthermore, its overall performance is on par with, and in some instances, surpasses that of the latest GPT-4o version.
When compared to the older GPT-4o, GPT-4.1 offers a more comprehensive upgrade. This improvement is evident not only in the precision of task execution but also in the consistency and stability of its output quality, marking a significant step forward in AI chatbot capabilities.
