Xiaomi Begins New Wave of HyperOS 4 Stable Updates for Phones, Tablets and TVs

October 30, 2026 – Xiaomi has started rolling out a second batch of stable HyperOS 4 updates, extending the rollout beyond the first wave of flagship phones to more Xiaomi, Redmi and TV devices.

The latest batch covers seven smartphones: Xiaomi 17 Max, Xiaomi 17T Pro, Xiaomi 17T, Redmi K90 Max, Redmi K90 Ultra, Redmi Turbo 5 Max and Redmi Turbo 5. It also includes the Redmi K Pad 2 tablet and several Xiaomi TV S Mini LED models from the 2025 and 2026 lineups. Xiaomi says affected devices will receive the update gradually, so not every unit will get the notification at the same time.

HyperOS 4 is Xiaomi’s most significant system update in years, with deeper AI integration, cross-device coordination and performance tuning. The assistant has been upgraded to Super Xiaoai 2.0, powered by Xiaomi’s in-house MiMo large model. New features include Expert Mode, which can summarize photo albums, plan trips, coordinate smart-home devices and generate research reports or presentation drafts, as well as the “Inspiration Ball” interaction that lets users point at on-screen text or images for quick search and navigation.

On the interface side, Xiaomi is introducing a frosted-glass material that adjusts panel transparency based on screen content, along with a more flexible floating framework for phones and tablets. Desktop customization has also been opened up further.

Performance improvements come from low-level kernel optimizations. Xiaomi claims that after nine hours of continuous use, the total launch time for 30 apps drops by 17.5 percent compared with HyperOS 3. Camera cold-start time falls from 1,043.6 milliseconds to 808.8 milliseconds, and long-term short-video scrolling sees an average frame-drop rate of just 0.11 percent.

This rollout follows the first stable HyperOS 4 push that began on October 15 for Xiaomi 17 and Redmi K90-series flagships. More devices, including Xiaomi 15, Redmi K80 and older Xiaomi 14 models, are scheduled to receive the update between mid-November and December. The broader update cycle runs into early 2027 and will also cover additional tablets, TVs and wearables.
