TCL CSOT Remains the Sole Mass-Producer of Printed OLED Panels

August 7, 2026 – The global display industry is poised for a major milestone as TCL CSOT prepares to launch the world’s first printed OLED high-end desktop monitor, signaling that the technology is rapidly entering the consumer market.

Scheduled for mass production in the third quarter of 2026 at the t12 printed OLED production line in Wuhan’s Optics Valley, the new monitor is a joint venture between TCL CSOT and MSI. Branded as the MSI PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12, this professional-grade display features a 27-inch 4K panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

A standout innovation of this monitor is TCL CSOT’s proprietary Real Stripe RGB pixel arrangement. This technology effectively eliminates the visual artifacts and color fringing often associated with traditional OLEDs, delivering pixel-level sharpness and clarity, especially for text rendering.

The manufacturing process behind this product is equally groundbreaking. Utilizing a point-to-point inkjet printing method, printed OLED precisely deposits light-emitting materials directly onto designated pixel positions. This approach, which is akin to “printing a screen,” bypasses the complex vacuum evaporation and fine metal mask (FMM) processes required by conventional OLEDs. Consequently, it significantly boosts material utilization, enhances production efficiency, and reduces costs for large-scale manufacturing.

While TCL CSOT successfully mass-produced its first printed OLED product—a specialized medical monitor—in 2024, this new collaboration with MSI marks the technology’s debut in the mid-sized professional consumer desktop segment. Currently, TCL CSOT remains the only manufacturer in the world with the capability to mass-produce printed OLED panels.
