January 21, 2026 – According to Taiwanese media outlet DigiTimes, citing sources from the supply chain, Google has set its Chromebook shipment target for this year at 19.5 million units, maintaining the same level as last year’s total sales.

The education sector is expected to remain the primary driver of Chromebook shipments, having accounted for roughly three-quarters of all Chromebook deliveries in 2025. Among device manufacturers, Lenovo and HP are projected to lead the market this year, with shipment volumes of 5.6 million and 4 million units, respectively. ASUS and Acer are both anticipated to ship around 3.3 million Chromebooks, while Dell is expected to deliver approximately 2.6 million units in this product category.
