In response to the recent wave of price adjustments by several automakers in the U.S. market, which has been attributed to tariffs imposed by American authorities, Toyota spokesperson Nobu Susumu clarified that the current price increase is not a direct result of “tariff concerns.” Instead, he explained that the move stems from “a regular price review process that takes into account multiple factors, including market competition.” Susumu emphasized, “This price adjustment is part of our routine price evaluation procedures.”
Notably, Toyota isn’t the only automaker taking such action. Its rival, Mitsubishi Motors, also plans to raise the prices of some of its models in the U.S. within this month.
