Targus Unveils Powerful Thunderbolt 5 Dock with 8K Triple-Screen Support and 140W Fast Charging at CES

January 7, 2025 – At the CES 2025, accessory manufacturer Targus unveiled its latest DOCK230 Thunderbolt 5 docking station, offering an unprecedented capability to connect up to three 8K monitors and deliver blazing-fast speeds of up to 120 Gbps. Additionally, it supports a 140W Extended Power Range (EPR).

According to the press release, this docking station incorporates the latest Thunderbolt Share technology from Intel. This innovative feature allows users to control two separate computers using a single keyboard and mouse, facilitating seamless screen and file sharing between them.

In line with Targus’ commitment to sustainability, the EcoSmart docking station is crafted from 75% recycled post-consumer plastic and aluminum. Furthermore, the packaging used for the product is also recycled.

Ron DeCamp, Vice President of Global Product Management and Development at Targus, emphasized that the upcoming AI PC upgrade cycle demands higher performance. He believes that this Thunderbolt 5 docking station will significantly enhance user productivity and streamline workflows.

The brand-new Thunderbolt 5 8K docking station, boasting a 140W EPR, is scheduled to hit the market in the first quarter of 2025.
