November 05, 2024 – Samsung Electronics has installed a massive outdoor LED display at its flagship store in Shinsegae Department Store, Seoul, South Korea, showcasing the XHB Series P8 model that boasts impressive dimensions and technical specifications.
The colossal screen, which spans across two sides of the building, measures an astonishing 71.8 meters in width and 17.9 meters in height. Covering a total area of 1,285 square meters, it is comparable to the size of three basketball courts combined. With a peak brightness of 8000 nits, the display guarantees vivid colors and clear visibility even under harsh lighting conditions.
Furthermore, its ultra-high refresh rate of 7680Hz significantly reduces screen flickering and moiré effects, ensuring a smoother viewing experience. The support for 8K resolution and HDR10+ technology offers viewers an unparalleled visual feast.
Remarkably, this enormous screen possesses an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance, along with UL 48 and UL746C certifications. These features guarantee its reliability and durability in outdoor environments, making it a striking new landmark in the city. Samsung has also enhanced the visual impact by integrating 3D effects, achieved through redesigning parts of the building and overlaying objects.
