Samsung Begins Mass Production of 16-inch 240Hz OLED Laptop Display for Upcoming Razer Blade 16

According to details provided, the latest Razer Blade 16 laptop will be equipped with an impressive display that boasts a 240Hz refresh rate, a 0.2ms response time, and a QHD+ (2560×1600) resolution. This combination promises an exceptional visual experience for users, particularly those who prioritize smooth and responsive graphics.

In recent news, the Razer Blade 16 has achieved a high-level certification from the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) known as “ClearMR (Clear Motion Ratio) 11000.” Introduced by VESA 22 years ago, “ClearMR” is a quality standard used to evaluate the motion blur performance of displays installed in laptops, monitors, TVs, and other devices when playing fast-moving scenes. By quantifying the ratio of clear to blurred pixels in quickly shifting images, VESA assigns a quality rating on a scale of 1000 units. A higher number indicates less motion blur and sharper image quality. The “ClearMR 11000” achieved by the Razer Blade 16 places it among the top tier of laptop displays in terms of visual clarity.

Previously, in May 2022, Samsung unveiled the world’s first 240Hz refresh rate OLED laptop panel, and at that time, Razer announced the Blade 15 as the first laptop to feature this innovative display. Now, with the Blade 16 set to carry the torch, it appears that Razer and Samsung are continuing their collaboration to push the boundaries of laptop display technology.
