November 28, 2023 – Media reports indicate that Apple is set to commence mass production of its first-generation MR (Mixed Reality) product, Vision Pro, in December this year, with an initial stock of around 400,000 units.
In a departure from the relatively low mainland component ratio seen in the previous iPhone 15 series, Apple’s Vision Pro significantly increases its supply chain proportion in mainland China to approximately 60%.
According to insiders in the industry chain, the hardware cost of Apple’s Vision Pro is estimated to be around $1700 (approximately ¥12,158). Currently, the mainland China supply chain is predominantly led by Linyi Intelligent Manufacturing, contributing components valued at around $250-$300 per unit, primarily supplying heat dissipation module, headbands, eye masks, and nose pads. Following closely is Luxshare Precision, with a unit value ranging between $150-$200, responsible for exclusive assembly work.
According to Apple’s vision, the Vision Pro aims to create a spatial environment that eliminates external disturbances, allowing users to immerse themselves in their own world.
Previous leaks have suggested that the Apple Vision Pro will be priced at $3499 (approximately ¥25,000) and will be exclusively available through Apple’s official channels, such as the official website or retail stores, without third-party distribution.
