January 7, 2025 – At the Intel CES 2025 keynote, Interim Co-CEO of Intel, Michelle Johnston, revealed that shipments of the Lunar Lake processor have surpassed 1.5 million units.
According to Johnston, “Lunar Lake stands as Intel’s most energy-efficient processor ever.” The Intel Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” processor, launched in September of last year, boasts 4 new-generation Lion Cove performance cores and 4 new-generation Skymont energy-efficient cores. It also features up to 8 second-generation Xe cores and is equipped with a fourth-generation NPU unit capable of delivering up to 48 TOPS of computing power.

During today’s event, Intel announced the entry of Ultra 200V into the commercial laptop segment with the introduction of vPro models.
Furthermore, Johnston announced that the 18A process technology will be “released later this year.” She emphasized that “Intel will continue to enhance its AI PC portfolio in 2025 and beyond, providing customers with leading Intel 18A product samples and ramping up production in the latter half of 2025.”
