Intel Unveils the N Series: Power and Efficiency for Entry-Level Computing

These processors, known as the N series, boast impressive specifications such as up to 8 cores, 8 threads, and a 32EU integrated graphics unit. Two models from this lineup, the N305 with eight cores and the N100 with four cores, have already made their way onto the market.

Today, a new addition to the N series, the N50 processor, has surfaced on Geekbench, generating a buzz among enthusiasts. The N50 processor distinguishes itself with 2 cores, 2 threads, a maximum turbo frequency of 3.4GHz, a 6MB cache, and a power-efficient 6W TDP. The integrated graphics in the N50 processor feature 16 execution units (EUs).

Despite the appearance of the N50 processor on Geekbench, devices equipped with this particular model have yet to be spotted in the market. However, considering Intel’s track record, it is only a matter of time before manufacturers integrate the N50 processor into their upcoming devices, offering consumers a power-efficient option for their computing needs.

The N series processors are built on Intel’s advanced 7nm Gracemont CPU microarchitecture, delivering remarkable performance-per-watt efficiency. Ranging from 4 to 8 power-efficient cores, these processors represent a significant leap in processing power for entry-level computing. Intel claims that the i3N 8-core variant of the N series showcases up to a 42% improvement in overall application performance and a remarkable 24% boost in web browsing performance.
