Elon Musk’s X Offers Discounted Corporate Subscription with Premium Features

January 04, 2024 – In a recent development, Elon Musk’s social media platform X has unveiled a basic corporate subscription service tailored for small businesses. This new offering comes with a monthly fee of 200andanannualchargeof2000 (currently equivalent to approximately 14,320 Chinese yuan).

According to X, this subscription package includes features such as a golden badge, advertising credits, and Premium+ access, among others, specifically designed to cater to the needs of small-scale enterprises.

Back in March of the previous year, X announced that following the abolition of traditional verification methods, businesses would need to shell out $1000 per month for the ‘Verified Organizations’ subscription to retain their golden badges.

However, this pricing strategy was met with widespread criticism from the business community. Many firms argued that the golden verification did not significantly enhance their engagement levels, making the hefty price tag seem unnecessary.

The recent 80% price cut indicates that a significant number of businesses were not keen on the steeper $1000 fee. X platform appears to be hoping to lure in more corporate customers by offering a more affordable option.

Notably, the $1000 per month plan remains available as a ‘full access’ option alongside the basic service.

Meanwhile, a report published by Axios on Sunday revealed that asset management firm Fidelity, which holds a stake in the company, estimates that X’s current value has decreased by 71.5% since Musk acquired it.
