January 04, 2024 – Today, Apple released iOS/iPadOS 17.3 Developer Preview Beta 2 for iPhone and iPad users, with the internal build number 21D5036c. However, some iPhone users have reported issues after updating to iOS 17.3 Beta 2, including their devices getting stuck in a boot loop, remaining on a black screen, or becoming unresponsive.
It’s important to note that not all iPhone devices are experiencing these issues, as some have updated to iOS 17.3 Beta 2 without any problems. In response to these reports, Apple has pulled the update from its Developer Center and stopped pushing it out via OTA.
For those who have already encountered these issues, the only solution is to restore their iPhone to iOS 17.3 or iOS 17.2.1. The restoration process involves connecting the iPhone to a computer using a cable, entering recovery mode by pressing and quickly releasing the volume up button, pressing and quickly releasing the volume down button, and then pressing and holding the side button until the recovery mode screen appears. From there, users can use software such as iMazing or Aisi Assistant to downgrade their operating system.
Apple strongly advises users against installing beta operating systems or other pre-release software on their primary devices due to the risk of data loss and other potential issues.
