March 14, 2024 – Apple’s Vision Pro headset, currently available exclusively in the United States, is poised for expansion to additional regions, according to recent reports. The move comes as the company prepares to enhance the device’s virtual keyboard with support for 12 new languages.
Initially limited to English (U.S.) and emoji support, the Vision Pro’s keyboard is set to become more inclusive, catering to a wider range of users worldwide. Code discovered by tech outlet MacRumors hints at the upcoming addition of languages such as Simplified Chinese, Cantonese, English variants for Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, as well as French for Canada and France, German, Japanese, and Korean.
While Apple had previously announced plans to expand Vision Pro’s availability to more countries later this year, the company had not specified a timeline. However, renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo speculates that the tech giant could broaden Vision Pro’s market reach before its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in June. This expansion is expected to pave the way for a more global presence and accessibility of the innovative headset.
