November 20, 2024 – Tesla CEO Elon Musk has recently been dropping hints about the development of a brand new, larger vehicle model within the company, aiming to expand its product range.
Currently, Tesla offers only one model that truly caters to families of four or more, the Model X. This SUV, which can be configured with three rows of seats to accommodate up to seven people, remains one of Tesla’s oldest models and has not undergone any significant updates for some time. While the Model Y also has a seven-seat capacity, its third-row space is considerably more cramped compared to the Model X.
Despite Tesla and Musk’s emphasis on autonomous driving technology, there is still a need for human-controlled vehicles until such technology reaches full maturity.
It’s worth noting that during the “We, Robot” event in October, Tesla unveiled the Robovan, an unnamed prototype designed for sports teams, large groups, or cargo transportation. However, Tesla enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating a model tailored for larger families.
In a recent post on the X platform, Musk hinted at the development of “some other things” besides the Robovan, indicating good news for families needing seven seats.
Additionally, Musk suggested that another large vehicle model could be part of Tesla’s future plans, pointing to a potential expansion of the company’s offerings to cater to larger families and groups.
