April 21, 2024 – AFOX, a brand under the Foxconn umbrella, has recently unveiled its first RTX 4080 graphics card, despite the fact that the RTX 4080 GPU has been discontinued and replaced by the newer SUPER model this year.
Although the name AFOX may not ring a bell for everyone, the company has already made its mark in the graphics card industry with the release of RTX 4090, RTX 4070, and RTX 4060 models, making RTX 4080 their fourth offering.
The newly launched RTX 4080 sports a turbofan cooling design akin to that of the RTX 4090, essentially mirroring NVIDIA’s reference design. It boasts impressive specifications, including 9728 CUDA cores, 16GB of 256-bit GDDR6X memory running at 22.4Gbps, a base clock speed of 2.21GHz, and a boost clock speed of 2.51GHz. Additionally, it features a single 12VHPWR connector.
In terms of performance, NVIDIA’s RTX 4080 can deliver up to twice the power of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti in modern games. Remarkably, even at lower power levels, it can outperform the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
At the heart of the RTX 4080 is the AD103-300-A1 GPU, crafted using TSMC’s 4nm process technology. This GPU packs 9728 CUDA cores, 76 ray tracing units, 112 raster units, 304 texture units, and 304 tensor cores, totaling an impressive 45.9 billion transistors.
Operating at a standard frequency of 2205 MHz and a maximum frequency of 2505 MHz, the RTX 4080 is equipped with 16GB of memory, a 256-bit memory interface, a memory speed of 22.4 Gbps, and a memory bandwidth of 716.8 GB/s. This high-performance graphics card is priced at 9499 yuan (note: RTX 4080 Super offers superior performance at 8099 yuan).
