April 21, 2024 – Samsung is poised to make a significant leap forward with its upcoming mobile processor, the Exynos 2500, which is rumored to surpass Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processor.
According to insiders, the Exynos 2500 is expected to excel in both energy efficiency and raw performance when compared to its rival, the Snapdragon 8 Gen4.
This year, Samsung’s Exynos 2400 has already demonstrated its ability to keep pace with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen3.
For the Exynos 2500, Samsung plans to utilize a 3nm process technology, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 is anticipated to continue using a 4nm process. This advancement in technology gives Samsung’s new chip a considerable edge.
It has been learned that the Exynos 2500 will come in two flagship chipset variants. The first, designated as Exynos 2500-A, is tailored for smartphones and equipped with an octa-core CPU.
The second variant, known as Exynos 2500-B, is designed for tablets and Galaxy Book laptops, featuring a more powerful 10-core CPU.
Furthermore, rumors suggest that Samsung might replace its in-house NPU with Google’s Tensor Processing Unit in its new chip. However, this speculation has not been officially confirmed by Samsung.
