September 06, 2024 – Lenovo Group announced today that it has extended and upgraded its partnership with Formula 1 (F1) to the highest level. From early 2025, Lenovo will serve as both the Global Partner and Global Technology Partner of F1, while its subsidiary, Motorola, will become the Global Smartphone Partner of the racing giant.
In its capacity as F1’s Global Partner, Lenovo will continue to deliver technical equipment, solutions, and services, bolstering F1’s operations both on the track and remotely. As part of the agreement, Lenovo will also sponsor two races per season, increasing its brand visibility and global market influence through enhanced logo exposure during events.
It is reported that Lenovo has been an Official Partner of F1 since 2022, providing a range of hardware devices including laptops, workstations, desktops, monitors, tablets, and Motorola smartphones. Additionally, the company offers asset recovery services to F1, ensuring that 95% of the racing organization’s old hardware is recycled. This initiative not only reduces operational costs but also minimizes security risks through data destruction and safety measures.
Looking ahead, Lenovo and F1 will jointly explore new technologies such as AI-powered PCs, Motorola smartphones equipped with AI capabilities, and AR/VR solutions. This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of technology in the racing industry and beyond.
