Tesla’s Los Angeles Restaurant Takes on a Steel Exterior, Drawing Inspiration from the Cybertruck

August 12, 2024 – Tesla’s ambitious project, which integrates a supercharger station, a restaurant, and an open-air cinema, has recently made significant progress. The restaurant building, whose exterior walls have been completed in a steel finish reminiscent of the company’s Cybertruck, marks a notable milestone in the development.

As reported by the YouTube channel 247Tesla, the restaurant’s walls are now fully covered with polished steel plates, exhibiting a slight deviation from the previously circulated renderings. Additionally, the framework for the first open-air movie screen on the north side of the restaurant has undergone weatherproof coating, indicating further advancement in the construction phase.

Moreover, on-site observations reveal that indoor stair handrails have arrived, and construction workers are engaged in extensive excavation work. The sidewalks and curbs surrounding the restaurant are also complete, and there has been notable progress in the development of the adjacent parking facilities.

Tesla initiated this unique project on Santa Monica Boulevard 7001 last September and has obtained multiple construction permits since then. While the project has reached its one-year anniversary, the official opening date and the possibility of more such projects in the future remain uncertain. This multipurpose complex promises to revolutionize the charging experience for Tesla owners, offering them a one-stop destination for dining, entertainment, and vehicle charging.
