April 30, 2026 – In a significant corporate restructuring move, OPPO has announced the consolidation of its OnePlus and realme brands into a new subsidiary division. This strategic decision aims to streamline operations and enhance market competitiveness for the two brands under the OPPO umbrella.
The newly formed subsidiary division will be overseen by OPPO’s Senior Vice President, Li Bingzhong, who will serve as its General Manager. In this role, Li will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the combined entity.

On the marketing and services front, Xu Qi, the former President of Marketing and Services at realme, has been appointed as the head of marketing and services for the new division. Xu will be tasked with unifying the marketing and service strategies for both OnePlus and realme, ensuring a cohesive approach across all channels.
In terms of product development, a dedicated subsidiary product center has been established, with domestic and overseas product departments falling under its purview. Li Jie, who will lead this center, will report directly to Liu Zuohu, the CEO of OnePlus. Additionally, Wang Wei, the former Vice President of realme, has been named as the Deputy General Manager of the product center, reporting to Li Jie.
The restructuring also extends to the research and development (R&D) sector. The entire realme R&D team will be reintegrated into OPPO Group, with its imaging and hardware departments becoming secondary divisions within OPPO’s corresponding systems. This move is expected to facilitate deeper technological integration and resource sharing between the two entities.
Prior to this consolidation, realme had already begun relocating its operations in batches to OPPO’s Binhaiwan headquarters. Looking ahead, the focus will be on leveraging product line synergies, optimizing resource allocation, and improving the operational efficiency and market competitiveness of both brands.
Earlier this year, OPPO sent an internal letter announcing realme’s return as a subsidiary brand, forming a strategic synergy with OnePlus and OPPO. Li Bingzhong, the CEO of realme, will be in charge of the overall subsidiary brand business. Since April 1, 2026, realme’s after-sales services in China have been fully integrated into OPPO’s service network, marking a significant step towards a more unified and efficient customer support system.
