March 31, 2026 – At the event marking the mass production roll – out of the 10,000th general – purpose embodied robot by Zhiyuan Robotics, Peng Zhihui, the co – president and CTO of the company, emphasized the significant impact of this milestone.
Peng pointed out that the large – scale production and launch of these robots have given a strong boost to the embodied AI industry ecosystem. It has enabled the simultaneous acceleration of both robot body manufacturing and intelligent evolution.
He further elaborated that while reaching the 10,000 – unit mark represents the starting point of large – scale production, Zhiyuan’s next objective is to achieve a truly large – scale and comprehensive deployment. The vision is to expand the application of robots from industrial settings to form a complete commercial cycle, and from single – scenario use to genuine general – purpose intelligence.
Looking ahead, Peng predicted that robots will become as ubiquitous as mobile phones. Each robot is expected to evolve into the most capable physical partner for humans, transforming the way we interact with the world around us.
