Soon after, Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, reposted the CCTV News report and expressed his hope that more people could witness the remarkable safety capabilities of the new Xiaomi SU7.
In this test, a frontal collision was carried out at a relative speed of 120 kilometers per hour. Compared to the conventional standard of 100 kilometers per hour, the collision energy increased by approximately 1.44 times. Despite such harsh testing conditions, the Xiaomi SU7 demonstrated outstanding structural resilience.
After the collision, the vehicle’s passenger cabin remained intact with zero failures. The power battery showed no signs of leakage or fire, and all emergency safety systems were activated promptly. This performance fully proved the model’s reliable protection ability in extreme accident scenarios.
The new – generation SU7 employs ultra – strong steel with a strength of up to 2200 megapascals, along with three well – designed force – transfer paths. This multi – dimensional energy dissipation mechanism can effectively disperse the huge impact force during a collision, ensuring that the survival space of the passenger cabin is not compressed.
In terms of passive safety configurations, the driver’s airbag, the passenger’s specially – shaped airbag, and the ultra – long side air curtains deploy in a coordinated manner.
