China’s Humanoid Robots Enter Era of 10,000-Unit Mass Production with 30-Minute Assembly Time

March 30, 2026 – China’s humanoid robot sector has made a crucial leap towards large-scale mass production.

The country’s first automated production line for humanoid robots, capable of producing over 10,000 units annually, was officially put into operation in Guangdong yesterday. This marks China’s pioneering entry into a new era of large-scale mass production in the humanoid robot industry.

This significant production line is a collaborative project between Dongfang Precision and Leju Robotics. It has successfully broken through the 10,000-unit annual production capacity barrier, with a new humanoid robot rolling off the assembly line every 30 minutes. Such an efficient production rhythm showcases China’s formidable industrial manufacturing prowess.

The production line features a comprehensive digital management and control system that covers the entire production process. It includes 24 precision assembly steps and incorporates 77 all-round quality inspection procedures. Compared to traditional production methods, overall production efficiency has been enhanced by 50%, achieving a dual improvement in both efficiency and quality control.

During the final product inspection stage, the production line adheres to strict testing standards. All humanoid robots must undergo 41 simulated operational tests before leaving the factory. Through multi-scenario and multi-dimensional testing and validation, the consistency and operational reliability of the products are maximally guaranteed.

Furthermore, the production line demonstrates great foresight in its process design. It employs a flexible and highly adaptable architecture that allows for easy adjustment of workstations based on production requirements. Additionally, it supports the mixed production of multiple models, catering to the manufacturing needs of humanoid robots of various specifications.
