December 9, 2025 – Apple’s chip – business chief, Johny Srouji, has personally dispelled rumors about his potential departure from the company. In an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg, Srouji made it crystal – clear that he has no plans to leave Apple and has firmly reiterated his commitment to staying with the tech giant.
Earlier, over the weekend, Bloomberg reported that Srouji was “seriously considering” leaving the company. The report claimed that he had conveyed this idea to Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, and also informed his colleagues that if he left Apple, he would join another firm rather than retire.
Following the publication of that report, Srouji is said to have made it clear to his team that he has no intention of leaving in the near future.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman revealed the contents of the memo. In the memo addressed to his department, Srouji wrote, “I know you’ve recently seen various rumors and speculations about my future at Apple. I think it’s important for you to hear the truth directly from me. I’m extremely proud of the outstanding technologies we’ve built together, which cover displays, cameras, sensors, chips, batteries, and a host of core technologies widely used in all Apple products. It’s our joint efforts that have created the world’s best products. I love my team and my job at Apple, and I have no plans to leave in the near term.”
This statement comes at a time when Apple is experiencing a wave of high – level personnel changes. Last week, Apple announced that John Giannandrea, head of its artificial intelligence business, Lisa Jackson, head of environmental affairs, and Katherine Adams, general counsel, would be leaving the company one after another.
In addition, Alan Dye, Apple’s top software designer, has also announced his departure from Apple to join its rival, Meta.
