November 13, 2025 – Toyota Motor Corporation has just made a major announcement, revealing its plan to pour an additional up to 10billionintotheUnitedStatesoverthenextfiveyears.Withthisnewinfluxoffunds,Toyota′scumulativehistoricalinvestmentintheU.S.issettosoartoapproximately60 billion.
In a related development, Toyota held a grand opening ceremony for TBMNC, its first self-owned battery manufacturing enterprise outside of Japan. Situated in North Carolina, this facility marks Toyota’s 11th manufacturing plant in the United States. The total investment in this project amounts to around $14 billion, and it is expected to generate up to 5,100 new job opportunities.

Tetsuo Ogawa, President and CEO of Toyota North America, stated, “The launch of Toyota’s first battery factory in the U.S., coupled with our decision to invest an additional $10 billion in the country, represents a significant milestone in our company’s history.
