July 31, 2025 – A recent report from market research firm CIRP has revealed some intriguing insights into the sales landscape of iPhones in the United States during June 2025.
In this period, the iPhone 16e managed to carve out an 11% share of the total iPhone sales in the country. When compared to the iPhone SE’s market share of 5% during the same month in the previous year, the iPhone 16e’s share represents a substantial 120% increase. This significant growth suggests that Apple has seemingly cracked the code on a more sustainable low – cost strategy.

The iPhone 16e stands out in a unique way. Unlike the relatively lower – priced iPhone SE, it comes with a higher price tag. Moreover, it lacks some of the high – end features found in the standard iPhone 16. Despite these factors, its market share has shown a notable uptick.
However, it’s important to note that the iPhone 16e’s market share is still relatively modest. CIRP points out that nearly 90% of iPhone buyers opted for other models, indicating that a large portion of American consumers are not choosing these more “budget – friendly” options.
The firm believes that although the iPhone 16e offers a new entry – level choice, American consumers remain inclined towards purchasing the latest models with a full set of features. The iPhone 16 series, which includes the standard version, Plus version, Pro version, and Pro Max version, continues to be the heart of Apple’s product lineup. These models draw in users who are after better cameras, larger screens, or high – end materials, solidifying their position as the top picks for many consumers in the US market.
