Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active 5: Unveiling Rugged Tablet Power

December 07, 2023 – Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 Rugged Tablet Emerges at the FCC with a Confirmed 10,000mAh Battery Capacity

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab Active 5 tablet has made its presence known at the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), revealing some intriguing details about its specifications. The device, available in two models, the SM-X300 for Wi-Fi-only connectivity, and the SM-X306B for 5G support, has successfully passed FCC certification.

While the official certification documents do not provide a frontal image of the tablet, they do hint at color options, indicating that it will be available in either gray or black.

The certification documents also confirm that the Galaxy Tab Active 5 will come equipped with 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to an additional 64GB via a microSD card. Moreover, it will feature compatibility with the S Pen stylus and support 15W fast charging for quick power top-ups.

Previously, the 5G variant of the Galaxy Tab Active 5 made an appearance on the GeekBench benchmarking platform. The listing revealed that the tablet will be powered by an octa-core processor, including four cores clocked at 2.40GHz and four cores running at 2.0GHz. It’s worth noting that the motherboard information, “s5e8835,” suggests that this processor is likely Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 chipset.

As the Galaxy Tab Active 5 approaches its official launch, these FCC disclosures offer a promising glimpse into the tablet’s capabilities, making it an exciting prospect for those in need of a rugged and powerful device for various applications.
