December 27, 2023 – Ahead of CES 2024, Samsung has unveiled a range of new smart home appliances equipped with IoT and intelligent control features. Among them are the Bespoke Four-Door Flex Refrigerator, the Anyplace Induction Cooktop, and the Built-in Induction Cooker, all featuring touchscreens for advanced control.
The Bespoke Four-Door Flex Refrigerator comes with AI Family Hub+ technology, incorporating what the company calls AI Vision Inside. It features a 32-inch touchscreen display and an internal camera that can recognize up to 33 different food items and display them categorized on the screen. Users can also set expiration dates for each food item, and the refrigerator will send reminders when items are about to expire. Additionally, the refrigerator integrates Amazon Dash Replenishment, allowing one-click ordering of replacement filters. The display screen of this refrigerator is powered by the Tizen operating system, enabling users to watch YouTube videos, control compatible SmartThings smart home devices, play music, mirror their smartphone screens, and even enjoy TikTok content right on the fridge.
Thanks to integration with Samsung Recipes, Samsung Health, and SmartThings, the refrigerator takes into account users’ health and dietary preferences and recommends recipes accordingly.
Samsung’s new Anyplace Induction Cooktop and Built-in Induction Cooker also feature 7-inch touchscreen displays, capable of showing recipes recommended by the Bespoke Four-Door Flex Refrigerator. Thanks to Samsung’s induction coil technology, users can place their cookware anywhere on the cooktop, and only the portion of the cookware’s bottom directly in contact with the induction coil will heat up. Moreover, the cooktop is equipped with a scratch-resistant glass surface, making it less susceptible to damage from cookware.
These new AI-driven, high-end home appliances will be showcased at Samsung’s CES 2024 booth in Las Vegas starting from January 9, 2024.
