July 30, 2024 – The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, the flagship foldable smartphone, has taken center stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics, becoming the new protagonist on the podium. Traditionally, only media personnel were able to capture the award ceremonies from afar, but now, the experience has become more personalized. Every athlete stepping onto the podium takes a selfie with their Galaxy Z Flip6 to commemorate their achievement.
It has been reported that as part of the 2024 Paris Olympics welcome package, all athletes participating in both the Olympics and Paralympics have received a brand-new Galaxy Z Flip6 smartphone. These selfie photos taken on the podium are automatically uploaded to Athlete365, a platform for athletes to connect and share. Rayssa Leal, a Brazilian skateboarder and a member of the Samsung team, noted that the “victory selfie” not only captures the moment of glory but also showcases the friendship among athletes.
Samsung’s partnership with the International Olympic Committee spans 26 years, and the company has been providing customized smartphones to Olympians since the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. At this year’s Paris Olympics, Samsung also utilized over 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra phones to live stream the athletes’ parade on water during the opening ceremony.
