February 10, 2025 – In a groundbreaking collaboration announced on the 6th of this month, American ride-hailing giant Lyft and AI innovator Anthropic have unveiled plans to launch AI-powered products aimed at enhancing the ride-sharing experience for Lyft’s community of over 40 million annual passengers and one million drivers.
The partnership between Lyft and Anthropic will concentrate on three pivotal areas:
AI-Powered Solutions: Lyft and Anthropic will develop and deploy AI applications to augment the ride-sharing experience for both passengers and drivers.

Early-Stage Testing: Lyft will engage in research trials for Anthropic’s new products and features, ensuring they align with the needs of passengers and drivers, thereby expediting the integration of proven solutions.
Engineering Advancements: Anthropic will provide professional training in AI application capabilities to Lyft’s engineering team, empowering them to build AI-driven innovative features more swiftly.
The fruits of the first phase of collaboration between the two companies — the implementation of Lyft’s AI customer service assistant powered by Anthropic’s Claude model — have already been realized. This assistant handles thousands of customer requests daily, seamlessly transitioning to human assistance when needed, resulting in an 87% reduction in average customer service resolution time.
