Intel CEO Delivers First Panther Lake Processor Sample to Lenovo

October 17, 2024 – At the 2024 Lenovo Tech Innovation Conference, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger personally handed over the first sample of the Panther Lake processor to Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing.

Gelsinger emphasized that the collaboration between Intel and Lenovo, which began with the Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake processors, as well as the long-battery-life Core Ultra PC equipped with an NPU unit, will continue with the upcoming Panther Lake processor based on the Intel 18A process.

Upon receiving the first Panther Lake processor sample, Yang Yuanqing expressed his excitement and stated that he would take great care of it.

According to previous reports, the Intel Panther Lake processor is expected to feature new Cougar Cove performance cores and Darkmont efficiency cores, along with a next-generation Xe3 “Celestial” architecture integrated graphics processing unit (GPU) and a fifth-generation NPU unit.
