Creators Offering Boosting Services and Account Sales Face Ban from Riot Games Next Year

November 29, 2024 – Riot Games has recently updated its service terms, announcing a strict policy against account boosting and trading, effective from January 3rd of next year. The new measures, applicable to games like “League of Legends” and “Valorant,” aim to crack down on creators who provide or promote such services.

According to the updated terms, any content that involves account boosting, account trading, or encourages others to violate the game rules, whether it’s in the form of sponsored promotions, social media posts, videos, or live streams, may result in the suspension of the associated account.

The updated policy reads: “Any promotion of content that violates our service terms, especially those related to boosting services or sponsorship, will now be penalized. This applies to sponsored posts on social media, videos, live streams, or even casual mentions during content creation.”

Riot Games emphasizes its commitment to competitive fairness and believes that these actions undermine the creation of a fair and enjoyable gaming experience. If a creator accepts sponsorship from boosting websites, promotes the buying and selling of accounts, or encourages any behavior that violates the game rules, Riot Games may suspend their access to Riot accounts.
