January 8, 2025 – Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has recently responded to rumors suggesting that Apple’s new iPhone SE 4 and iPad 11 will be released in April alongside iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3. Gurman confirmed that the next-generation iPhone SE and new iPad are indeed in development based on iOS 18.3. However, he clarified that this does not necessarily imply a simultaneous release. Instead, he hinted that these devices might arrive before the launch of iOS 18.4, which is expected to precede April.

According to previous leaks, the design of the upcoming iPhone SE 4 bears similarities to the iPhone 14 base model. It is rumored to sport a 6.06 to 6.1-inch 60Hz OLED display, include Face ID technology, and feature a USB-C port. The front-facing camera is reported to be the same as the one found on the iPhone 16, but the back panel will have only one 48MP primary camera, omitting the ultra-wide lens.
Furthermore, speculation suggests that this model will be equipped with a newer A-series chip, 8GB of RAM to facilitate Apple Intelligence, and Apple’s first proprietary 5G modem. Consumers should expect a slight price increase compared to the current iPhone SE, which starts at $429.
