Faraday Future Unveils Major OTA Update for FF 91 2.0, Introducing 750+ New Features

January 22, 2024 – Faraday Future, the electric vehicle company helmed by Jia Yueting, has announced today that their flagship model, the FF 91 2.0, has undergone its first major Over-The-Air (OTA) update since deliveries commenced last year.

The update, according to the company, introduces 752 new features and enhances 846 existing functionalities. Among the most notable additions is the industry-first in-car sports event recommendation and aggregation product. This innovative feature seamlessly integrates sports event guides with live streaming content from internet streaming services, allowing users to quickly find and enjoy their preferred content on the FF 91.

The update also significantly enhances the interaction between users’ smartphones and the vehicle. In addition to supporting basic functions like controlling the doors, air conditioning, and charging, occupants can now more smoothly control the in-car screens using their smartphones, elevating the in-car entertainment and work experience. Users can control each door of the vehicle, adjust the zero-gravity seats with one-touch, and more, either through their smartphones or smartwatches simultaneously or individually. Faraday Future claims this to be one of the most comprehensive smartphone-to-car interaction systems in the industry.

It’s worth noting that, according to Faraday Future’s data, the company delivered 10 units of the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance in 2023. This means that in the nine years since Jia Yueting embarked on his journey to build cars, only 10 vehicles have been delivered, including one owned by Jia himself.
