December 16, 2024 – According to the latest research conducted by the Global Electric Vehicle Drivers’ Alliance (GEVA), an overwhelming majority of electric vehicle owners express extremely high satisfaction with their EVs, with less than 1% willing to switch back to gasoline-powered cars.
The comprehensive study, which surveyed 23,254 respondents across 18 countries, revealed that 92% of participants would opt to purchase an electric vehicle again if they were to replace their current ride.
Meanwhile, 4% indicated a preference for hybrid or plug-in hybrid vehicles as their next automotive choice.

Respondents widely agreed that the low cost and environmental benefits of electric cars were primary motivating factors in their decision to go electric.
However, the study also highlighted some key challenges, with the inadequacy of charging infrastructure, long charging durations, and unreliable charging stations emerging as significant drawbacks.
A significant proportion of respondents (72%) stated that they primarily charge their electric vehicles at home.
Furthermore, the research emphasized that the low operating costs of electric vehicles are the most significant motivator for purchase, followed closely by environmental considerations.
Despite ongoing improvements in charging infrastructure, electric vehicle drivers still face convenience issues related to charging their cars.
