April 23, 2024 – Renowned leaker Gurman has recently disclosed that Apple retail stores have begun strategically reducing their inventory of the current iPad Air models to pave the way for the upcoming new iPad Air.
It is reported that Apple will hold a new product launch event next month, unveiling the latest iPad Pro, iPad Air, and Apple Pencil among other devices.
The iPad Air is generating significant buzz, particularly due to the introduction of a 12.9-inch model, marking the largest size in the series’ history.
This new model will sport a Mini-LED display, identical to the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro, featuring 2596 local dimming zones, a 2732 x 2048 pixel resolution, 264 ppi, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. It also supports ProMotion adaptive refresh rate technology.
Under the hood, this iPad Air will be powered by Apple’s M2 chip, crafted using TSMC’s 5-nanometer process and packing 20 billion transistors.
In essence, this new iPad Air represents the most powerful model in the Air lineup, potentially even serving as a viable alternative to the Pro models.
However, with great power comes a greater price tag. Reports indicate that the 12.9-inch iPad Air will carry a 200premium,startingat799 (approximately ¥5750), making it the most expensive Air model yet.
