December 26, 2024 – Billionaire Elon Musk made a bold prediction about artificial intelligence on the 23rd, stating that it will soon surpass the intelligence of all humans.
According to Musk, the development speed of AI is astonishing, yet humans have failed to recognize the profound impact of this transformation in a timely manner. He anticipates that by the end of 2025, AI will exceed the intelligence of any single individual. Furthermore, he predicts that by 2027 to 2028, it may even outsmart all human intelligence. Musk further believes that by 2030, there is almost a 100% chance that AI will surpass the collective intelligence of humanity.
In a post on his own X platform, Musk wrote, “The possibility of AI surpassing the intelligence of a single individual by the end of 2025, and all human intelligence by 2027 to 2028, is becoming increasingly likely. By 2030, the probability of artificial intelligence exceeding all human intelligence is close to 100%.”
Additionally, gagadget reported today that Leopold Aschenbrenner, a former collaborator at OpenAI, has also warned that the potential harm caused by AI to humans could far outweigh its benefits. He forecasts that by 2027, artificial intelligence will evolve into Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) comparable to human intelligence, and this advancement may trigger a series of negative impacts.
