October 26, 2024 – WeRide, a leading autonomous driving company, made its debut on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange on October 25th (EST) with the stock code “WRD”, marking it as the first publicly listed global general-purpose autonomous driving company and the inaugural publicly listed Robotaxi firm.
The company priced its initial public offering at 15.5perAmericanDepositaryShare(ADS).Assumingfullexerciseoftheunderwriters′over−allotmentoption,WeRidewillhavepubliclyissuedatotalof8,903,760ADSs.Coupledwithapreviouslydisclosedconcurrentprivateplacementof320 million, the total funds raised from this public offering could reach up to $458.5 million.
Since its inception in 2017, WeRide has been committed to “Changing Human Mobility with Autonomous Driving”. The company offers a range of L2 to L4 autonomous driving products and services, including five major product lines: Robotaxi (self-driving taxi), Robobus (self-driving minibus), Robovan (self-driving delivery van), Robosweeper (self-driving street sweeper), and Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS).
According to the company, WeRide holds a unique position as the only technology firm globally that possesses autonomous driving licenses in China, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and the United States.
