NVIDIA Celebrates Google’s AI Triumph, Yet Stresses Its Generational Chip Lead

November 26, 2025 – NVIDIA made a statement via its official news account on X today. Initially, it expressed joy over Google’s achievements. However, it then abruptly shifted gears, claiming, “NVIDIA is a generation ahead of its peers and stands as the sole platform capable of running all AI models in any computing scenario.”

Earlier, The Information reported that Meta planned to spend billions of dollars on Google’s chips to power its data centers. Following this news, NVIDIA’s stock price took a significant hit. By Tuesday afternoon local time, it had plummeted by over 3%.

According to Business Insider, Google responded by stating that it would continue to support both types of chips. “We’re witnessing a rapid surge in demand for our custom TPUs as well as NVIDIA’s GPUs. We’re committed to maintaining support for both, just as we have for many years,” Google said.

It’s understood from the reports that Google has been making continuous progress in the AI field. Its recently released Gemini 3 has received positive reviews. Unlike many of its competitors, Google enjoys a “full-stack” advantage, enabling it to oversee the entire process from AI research to cloud platforms, which host all the models.
