June 25, 2025 – Cadillac has moved closer to reclaiming its former glory as the “Standard of the World” with the delivery of the first-ever Celestiq during a private ceremony held at the Cadillac House today.
The flagship vehicle, which made its debut in the fall of 2022, was initially slated for production in 2023. As per Carscoops, Cadillac’s strategy to re-enter the ultra-luxury car market dates back to the early 2000s. In 2002, the brand embarked on a self-renewal journey with the launch of the CTS, followed by the stunning Sixteen concept car the next year, signaling its intent to ascend back to the pinnacle of luxury vehicles.
However, the wait for consumers proved to be much longer than anticipated. To keep the anticipation alive, Cadillac rolled out a series of highly anticipated concept cars, including the Ciel and Elmiraj. The latest addition, the Sollei, is essentially an open-top version of the Celestiq.
Cadillac emphasizes that the Celestiq is crafted entirely according to the individual needs of its customers. Each owner has the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated concierge and designer to tailor their vehicle to their unique tastes and preferences.

In terms of performance, the production version of the Celestiq has seen significant enhancements compared to its initial specifications. The car is equipped with an 111 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering a powerful output of 655 horsepower (488 kW) and a peak torque of 875 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and boasts an estimated driving range of 488 kilometers.
Beyond its powertrain, the Celestiq also features electrically operated doors and massive 23-inch wheels. With a length of 5517mm, it dwarfs the Escalade, exuding an imposing presence.
The interior of the Celestiq is equally impressive in terms of technology. The cockpit is adorned with a seamless 55-inch screen, complemented by an 11-inch front console, an 8-inch rear control screen, and two 12.6-inch rear entertainment screens. Other notable features include Super Cruise for autonomous driving capability, a fixed glass roof with adjustable tinting, and a top-tier audio system equipped with either 38 or 42 speakers.
The Celestiq carries a starting price tag of approximately $350,000, with the final cost varying based on the customer’s customization choices.
