July 14, 2025 – In a groundbreaking move, Tesla has introduced its Optimus robot to serve as a waiter at its first-ever themed restaurant. The innovative establishment, which is set to open its doors soon, is expected to offer a unique dining experience that blends futuristic technology with classic sci-fi aesthetics.
According to official announcements, the Optimus robot is poised to take on roles such as greeting guests and delivering meals. The restaurant, located on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles, boasts a striking design reminiscent of a silver flying saucer from 1950s science fiction films. At night, a ring of neon lights encircling the building creates an ambiance that makes visitors feel as though they’ve stepped into the world of “Back to the Future.”
Spanning two floors with over 200 seats, the venue features an open kitchen, bar, and takeout window on the ground level. The second floor houses an outdoor bar equipped with plush sofa chairs, offering patrons a view of two massive 13.7-meter LED screens displaying the latest blockbuster movies.
To cater to Tesla drivers, the restaurant provides 80 V4 Superchargers in its parking lot. This means customers can recharge their vehicles while enjoying a meal—with enough time to finish a burger before hitting the road again.
The menu adds another layer of creativity by naming dishes after Tesla models, including spicy Cyber Fries, Autopilot Milkshakes, and Model S Ribeye Steak. Additionally, diners who opt for the “Autonomous Delivery” option when ordering via QR code can have their food delivered directly to their car windows by the Optimus robot.
After three years of development—from filing permits in 2022 to breaking ground in 2023 and finally unveiling the site—the restaurant is rumored to officially open on July 21. Given its one-of-a-kind combination of charging stations, movie screenings, and robotic service, Tesla enthusiasts are advised to arrive early if they want to secure a spot at this extraordinary dining destination.
