Tesla’s Cyber SUV Teaser Unveiled: Musk Foresees 80% Future Value from Optimus

September 2, 2025 – During the U.S. Labor Day holiday, Tesla unveiled the fourth installment of its “Master Plan,” placing a strong emphasis on the immense potential of its Optimus humanoid robot. Additionally, the company treated viewers to the first-ever glimpse of the Cyber SUV model in a promotional video.

At present, all details regarding the Cyber SUV remain under wraps. It’s still uncertain whether this vehicle will actually enter mass production, but the video clearly indicates that Tesla is actively exploring this avenue.

In this latest plan, Tesla provided an in-depth description of the role it envisions for the Optimus robot. Optimus, Tesla’s autonomous humanoid robot, is set to revolutionize not just how people perceive work but also the accessibility and capabilities of labor. Repetitive and hazardous jobs and tasks can now be handled through alternative means. As a result, Optimus aims to free up people’s time, allowing them to pursue the things they truly love.

Elon Musk, in a response to @WholeMarsBlog today, stated that he believes 80% of Tesla’s future value will stem from Optimus.

According to Tesla’s roadmap, the robot is expected to be commercially available in early 2026. However, market sentiment is divided. Data from the prediction trading platform Kalshi shows that users estimate there’s only a 40% chance that Tesla Optimus will hit the market before 2027.

In other developments, Tesla has decided to abandon its in-house development of the Dojo supercomputer. Instead, it will rely on NVIDIA chips to train its Full Self-Driving (FSD) intelligent driving assistance system. It’s anticipated that the Optimus robot will be equipped with the upcoming AI5 chips.
