LV Falls Prey to Cyber Breach: Alerts Clients Worldwide to Change Passwords ASAP

July 17, 2025 – Yesterday, tech media outlet BleepingComputer broke the news that luxury fashion powerhouse Louis Vuitton (LV) has fallen victim to a cyberattack, with customers in the UK, South Korea, and Turkey among those affected.

Starting last week, LV began reaching out to its clientele in these regions, alerting them that their personal information might have been compromised during a recent cyber intrusion. The company urged these customers to change their passwords in a secure environment as soon as possible.

A portion of the notification sent to customers read, “Despite having robust security measures in place, on July 2, 2025, we detected an incident involving the unauthorized access to our systems by hackers, which led to the exposure of some customers’ personal data.”

LV stated that its cybersecurity team has handled the situation with the utmost caution and attention. Immediately after the incident came to light, they implemented technical measures to contain it, primarily by blocking the unauthorized access.

In an official statement, Louis Vuitton assured that no payment information was exposed in the compromised database during this incident. The company revealed that it is working hand – in – hand with cybersecurity experts to investigate the matter thoroughly. Additionally, it has started notifying the relevant regulatory authorities about the breach.
