Logitech Confirms: All Cameras Except Brio 4K Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2

June 28, 2025 – In a recent development, Logitech spokesperson Leila Lewis has confirmed that nearly all of the company’s webcams are directly compatible with the newly launched Switch 2, except for the high-end Brio 4K model.

When the Switch 2 hit the market three weeks ago, many manufacturers were left in the dark regarding which products would work with the new console. Surprisingly, several highly-rated webcams failed to be recognized by the system, causing confusion across the industry. Companies were left scrambling to figure out compatibility on their own.

Insider sources revealed that many manufacturers didn’t even have access to Switch 2 development kits at the time. They had to resort to purchasing the console, which quickly became the fastest-selling gaming device in history, just like regular consumers. Nintendo itself didn’t provide any official compatibility guidelines, leaving brands like Elgato and UGREEN to rely on reverse engineering to understand why their products weren’t working.

As for the Brio 4K’s exclusion, Leila Lewis explained that it’s equipped with Windows Hello security features, which the Switch 2 doesn’t support.

In response to the compatibility issues, Elgato and UGREEN have pledged to release updates for certain webcam models to ensure they work with the Switch 2. Obsbot has also announced plans for firmware upgrades, while Insta360 is still evaluating the situation. Anker, on the other hand, has yet to make a clear statement regarding compatibility updates.
