Jensen Huang Delivers on ‘Creating Billionaires’: Nvidia’s CFO and Sales Leader Join the Ranks, Now Six in Total

July 30, 2025 – According to Bloomberg, as Nvidia continues its remarkable growth trajectory, two more top executives have joined the billion-dollar wealth club, bringing the total number of billionaires within the company to six.

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index reveals that Nvidia’s Chief Financial Officer, Colette Kress, and Jay Puri, who is in charge of global sales and marketing, now each have a net worth exceeding $1 billion. A significant portion of their wealth comes from Nvidia shares, with the stock hitting a new all-time high this Monday.

Nvidia’s stock price has surged by 31% this year and has seen a cumulative increase of over 1100% since the beginning of 2023. Earlier this month, Nvidia also made history by becoming the first company globally to reach a market capitalization of over $4 trillion.

These newly minted billionaires are a prime example of the ongoing “gold rush” in the AI sector. Companies like Meta and Alphabet are offering multi-million-dollar compensation packages to attract AI researchers or investing billions to poach talent from firms such as Scale AI and Windsurf.

When questioned about the eye-watering salaries of AI researchers, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that considering the immense value AI labs can generate, these attractive compensation packages are justified.

“I’ve created more billionaires in my management team than any other CEO in the world,” Huang said at a summit held in Washington on July 23. “They’re doing extremely well now.”

The Bloomberg Billionaires Index shows that Huang, aged 62, recently surpassed Warren Buffett with a fortune of $154 billion, making him the ninth-richest person globally.

Nvidia board members Mark Stevens, Tench Coxe, and Harvey Jones, who have served on the board for approximately three decades, are also billionaires.

In addition to the newly-added billionaires Kress and Puri, Nvidia director Brooke Seawell is also on track to potentially join the billion-dollar wealth club. Seawell, a venture partner at the US venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates, has been a Nvidia director since 1997 and currently holds Nvidia shares worth about $750 million.

As of press time, a Nvidia spokesperson declined to comment.
