iOS 19 Design Leak Reveals: Rounded Glass Aesthetic Overhauls iPhone Interface

March 27, 2025 – In a video released today, tech insider Jon Prosser presented a simulated showcase of Apple’s upcoming iOS 19 interface, emphasizing a design language centered around rounded corners and a glassy aesthetic, while playfully noting that some elements were “fictional jokes.”

Prosser clarified that the mockups were based on genuine aspects of the iOS 19 version but were replicated to protect his sources. The video cleverly mixed real changes with humorous designs, such as the comically circular icons that were purely for fun.

Among the revelations, the designs for the Messages and Camera apps appeared highly plausible. They featured floating bubble buttons, rounded menus, and semi-transparent effects, aligning with the current style seen in the Sports and Invites applications.

For the lock screen, the primary focus was on enhancing the visual experience. Adjustments were made to the transparency of the notification bar, and buttons were rendered with a 3D floating effect. Additionally, the settings and pop-ups fully embraced the rounded corner and “glassy” design, resulting in softer menu elements.

The app interfaces adopted a unified visionOS style, incorporating circular controls, floating panels, and highly transparent materials. Notably, the top of the keyboard was adorned with a curved glass effect, creating a nearly “floating” visual sensation.
